Free Nanopore Workshop: April 22

Generously guided by Arjen Speksnijder, Lector of Metagenomics at the Hogeschool Leiden (see here for more info on Arjen: https://www.hsleiden.nl/metagenomics/medewerkers/lector-arjen-speksnijder), the e3DNA group will be given a free-to-join workshop on using Nanopore sequencing technologies. The workshop will be held on April 22nd and begin at 3pm at the Hogeschool Leiden with a presentation by Arjen about the theory and practicalities of Nanopore sequencing, followed by a guided tour of his labs and detailed discussion about equipment operation and SOPs (standard operating procedures).

Interested in staying up to date on novel technologies? Come check it out!

All members of e3DNA are welcome to join! If you're interested, send us an email at e3DNA@cml.leidenuniv.nl and we'll be sure to add you to the list.

Can't make this one? No problem - the e3DNA hub will be continuing to offer in-person and hands-on workshops throughout the year. Our next workshop will occur on May 6th for a guided description of bioinformatic analysis through the platform GALAXY, the platform commonly used at Naturalis and other "big data" and biodiversity centres throughout the Netherlands. More on that one soon but mark your calendars.
